Waihi East Primary School, Waihi, New Zealand  

Waihi East is a decile 3 co-ed contributing school catering for children in the 5 to 11 year age range (Yr 1 - Yr 6) and at the end of Year 6 pupils transfer to Waihi College (Yr 7 – Yr 13).

The majority of New Entrant children who enroll have had early childhood learning experience and the close proximity of the Waihi Kindergarten is used to the advantage of both institutions. The school roll is currently 167 pupils, our Principal is Emily Hargreaves, we have 8 classroom teachers with 2 release teachers working part time, 4 classroom based teacher aides, 1 office administrator (full time), a caretaker, a cleaner and dental therapists who work in the school.
