Kia ora, congratulations to Blake Morgan for his superior swimming results at the Western Bay of Plenty Swimming Championship. Blake came first in the 25m freestyle, 2nd in the 50m freestyle, 3rd in the 25m backstroke and 5th= in the 50m backstroke. Blake is a fabulous role model for others. He sets goals and works hard to gain results.
Congratulations also to the children who participated in the Nugget over the weekend. It is great to know that families are out there having fun together.
Tomorrow is a Big Breakfast. Please come along and join us from 8.30-9am. Our menu is sausages, baked beans, eggs and toast. Our special guests are members of the local fire service. We would like to show them our appreciation of the work they do in our community.
The Dog Biscuit Fundraiser netted $216 for the Blind Foundation. Twenty children had a great time baking the biscuits. James was in charge of advertising and Gemma, Mahonri, Kaurerewa and Jaiden made up the sales team in town.
Staff are currently converting our terms learning into our Year Books. Year Books are available for parents to read at school with your child/children. Interview slips (in green) have been sent home to junior children who have an anniversary this term. All other students will receive interview times next term.
Lastly, I am taking applications for children who would like to be selected for Boot Camp 2011.
Boot Camp will be every Friday afternoon. I would like Year 4-6 students who are motivated to develop their fitness to apply. Please write a short paragraph about why you should join in our fitness fun. Applications close Tuesday 12th of April. Boot Camp 2010 participants who completed the full programme last year will be part of the 2011 team. Ten places are available.
