Kia ora, I am looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow at prize-giving. Prize-giving is the time that we reflect on our year and celebrate our success. There are many people that support our kura/school – too many to list. I would like to thank you all. You allow us to Rise Above and Shine. My thanks to the Teaching and Learning Team at Waihi East School. You are a Dream Team, and I am very proud to stand alongside you. The Education Review Office visits us in March next year. I look forward to you all receiving the positive feed back you deserve.
The end of year is also a time that we plan our next adventures. This year we would like you to share new ideas and inspirations with the Staff and Board. What do you Like? How can we improve? If there was one change we could make what would that be? Big posters will be placed outside Rooms 2 and 3 with ‘stickies’ for you to write on. No names please, we just want your ideas. Speaking of plans for the future the improvements to the front of the school will enter phase two during the school holidays with an awesome area being developed under the beautiful shade tree at the front of the school. Take a look at the plans below.
School officially closes on Wednesday 14th 2011 at 12.30pm. Have a safe and happy holiday. The leadership team will be in the school office from the 23rd-27th of January 2012 (mornings only). Please get in touch if we can help or if you know of new enrolments. School reopens 1st Feb 2012.
