Kia ora, welcome back to school and the start to another term of exciting learning. Everyone seems well rested and the bugs are slowly disappearing. I was very fortunate to spend time with my whanau travelling around the East Coast. It was a lovely time sharing a journey with my parents and I have come away with great memories. I hope your two weeks with your children were as enjoyable.
It was awesome to see your faces as you returned to school to see the first stage of our property development. I love the front entrance to our school and the fencing that increases the safety for all children. My thanks to Donna and Matt Walker who over saw this project, and Ross our Caretaker who made sure our contractors had everything on hand. What do you think? Please let us know.
Our production is on Thursday the 11th of August, 7pm, Waihi College, gold coin donation. Please let your friends and whanau know. On Wednesday and Thursday we are having rehearsals at the College. Please return the slip below if you can help.
Thank you for coming to our interviews this week. When we work together as a partnership there are positive outcomes for students. As you know we are trialing school reports and modified our Year Books. What has the impact been in your house hold? Lastly, as ever, I value your contribution to our Learning Community. Like your students, we too are learning. Education is moving at a very fast rate and we don’t always get it right. If you have ideas, please share them with staff, especially me. When we know your ideas and opinions we can improve. Please make sure you are heard.
Lastly, recycling including pig buckets are going to be established this term. We will be having a food bucket which will fatten our poaka (pig) for a school feast. I have the piglet, it needs a home. Let me know if you can house our piglet– mmm, I can smell the crackling already!
Ka kite ano
