Winnie a year 6 student from Waihi East Primary School has completed editing footage from our Goat Island Bay School Camp experience in February of 2013. The DVD featuring our outdoor education activities at Goat Island Bay and beyond is available from the Waihi East School office at $5.00 a copy.

All Waihi East School students had the opportunity to develop their bike safety knowledge and skills with Shar from Project Energize on Wednesday 27th March at East School. Spencer filmed and edited this Bikewise footage on an iPad.

Waihi East School Beach Picnic 2013     Posted here 18/02/2013
On Friday 15th February 2013 Waihi East School students enjoyed taking part in our annual school picnic at ANZAC Bay. Children raced in the run, swim, run duathlon with great gusto (check out the video to see the 100% effort they gave) in their waka colours. Robin and Trevor had their boats available for children to have rides, some biscuiting and others a swift ride in Trevor's speed boat. The Coast Guard brought their new boat ‘The Gallagher’ to ANZAC Bay for us to view and learn about water safety. It was also great to have Anita with her coffee cart at the beach providing coffee, ice cream and cold drinks for our school community to purchase if they wished.

Last Thursday 14th February year 5-6 Waihi East School students worked together putting up their tents as a practice run for our school camp this week at Goat Island Bay Camping and Accommodation. Here is a short video showing how East School pupils worked together to figure out how the tent should be put up.
