External Services

Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour (RTLB), Dental Service, Bus Service and After School Care are all available from Waihi East Primary School.

Dental Service

The mobile dental clinic is on site a couple of times a year. All children have teeth regularly checked. If you are concerned about your child’s teeth, please contact Meirene Royal on 021 356 294.

Bus Services

Whangamata/Golden Valley bus route drops off children at school by 8.30 a.m. picks up from Waihi East School at 2.50 p.m. sharp.

College/Town bus route drops off children at Waihi College, allows for transfer to school bus to Waihi Beach from Waihi College, students are dropped off at Waihi East by 8.30 a.m. picked up from Waihi East School just before 3pm.

A bus is available from Waihi Beach through to Waihi East School via Golden Valley Road (this is the Golden Valley Bus), this bus also travels out to Waitawheta and picks up students to the south west of Waihi as well , children get dropped off in the morning at 8.30 a.m. by this bus. At 3.00 p.m. a bus picks up students from Waihi East School and takes them to Waihi College. Buses leave the College at 3.30 p.m. taking children back to all the areas immediately surrounding (within 12-15 kilometres) Waihi.

After School Care

After School Van (AFS) takes students from Waihi East School to after school activities and care, picked up from school at 3.00 p.m. sharp.
